Our team is large enough to rapidly and professionally complete a project, but small enough to commit our principal consultants to the job. SiLK Consulting Group uses a selective team for each job, focusing on our client’s individual needs while capitalizing on decades of collective specialized experience.

SCG consultants have substantial experience with Community Service Block Grants, Community Development Block Grants, Housing and Homeless Services, Victim’s Services, as well as many other social and community service programs.

Suzi Kochems

CEO/Principal

Suzi brings nearly twenty years of social services experience and more than thirty years’ management experience to her engagements, including work in both public agencies and private non-profits. Mrs. Kochems has deep experience in grant development and administration, strategic planning and project management in the social and community services environments. Her passion involves working with low-income programs and services, especially children's programs and housing & homelessness. Suzi holds two Bachelors of Science degrees from California State University, Chico. Suzi has a strong commitment to nonprofit leadership and has served on a number of nonprofit boards/commissions supporting youth, education, homelessness, economic development and community engagement

LuAnn Peitz

Consultant Associate

LuAnn's innovative and creative style couple with her 15 years of experience in the social work field and her nearly completed master's degree is social work from CSU, Chico, give her the learned and innate skill to tackle any project large or small. As a community organizer, researcher, grant developer she has helped rural communities thrive. Mrs. Peitz has demonstrated through her fluency in Spanish and her keep ability to connect with people, that she is a tireless advocate for under-represented populations. LuAnn is a team player and will work tirelessly to meet the needs of the organizations that she represents!

Starryne Crandell

Consultant Associate

Starr is a versatile learning and professional development strategist with demonstrated success in implementing a variety of organizational development initiatives including organizational change leadership development and measurement of learning solutions. Starr brings heart and soul to each engagement with individuals, teams or cultures. She is a charismatic communicator and is fueled with passion for people to find their voice and unique contribution to the team. Ms. Crandell is a Certified ROMA (Results Oriented Management and Accountability) Trainer and has successfully trained dozens of public and private organizations in the StrengthsFinder assessment-the cultivation of individual empowerment and team development by emphasizing our unique abilities to meet unique objectives.
